UNEARTH NATURE AND CULTURE AT WILDBARK
Visit Wildbark for a day of culture, nature, fun and community. Take an adventure on a guided geo-heritage walk through the Sanctuary, join a Ngunnawal language workshop, or learn the traditional art of weaving.
Geo-heritage walk
Time: 10am - 12:30pm
Age range: All ages are welcome but it
is most appropriate for 12+
Ticket price: $10 per person (Bookings essential)
Join Geo-scientist Megan Lech for a fascinating journey unearthing the geo-heritage stories of the Sanctuary. This walk will go for 3-3.5 kms on gravel and dirt tracks with some slopes. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen and comfortable clothing suitable for walking.
Ngunnawal language children’s workshop

11:15am - 12pm

Ticketed: $5 per person
Infants under 12 months require no ticket or registration
Join members of the Winanggaay Ngunnawal Aboriginal Language Corporation to learn Ngunnawal greetings, nature words and a children’s song translated into Ngunnawal.
Woodlands Weaving

Join Wiradjuri young woman Dhani Gilbert for an afternoon of First Nations basket weaving inspired by the critically endangered box-gum grassy woodlands right at Wildbark’s doorstep. Tickets include light refreshments.
